
The Provincial Public Prosecutor's Office, in Cabo Delgado, has just announced that investigations are under way to determine the causes of the fire that occurred on April 14, in one of the warehouses, located somewhere in the city of Pemba, where 80 kilograms of various drugs were packed, seized at the beginning of this month in Mecufi. According to the spokesman for the Public Prosecutor's Office in Cabo Delgado, Gilroy Fazenda, who declined to confirm the information circulated, according to which the drug would have burned in the SISE building, in Pemba, highlighted that investigations are ongoing, to collect evidence about the circumstances in which the fire took place. "In this press conference we wanted to share the information according to which, in fact, the drug burned in the warehouse where it was kept and that everything is being done to find out the causes", stressed Fazenda, who, on the other hand, explained that the Attorney it does not have the preliminary report from the Command of the Public Safety Service (firefighters). The drug, consisting of heroin, cocaine and amphetamines, was presented to the press on April 4 of the current year. However, 10 days later the fire broke out. About two weeks later, the Public Prosecutor's Office called the press to ensure that it was working to clarify the case.
